Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a debilitating condition often characterized by extreme fatigue that doesn’t improve with rest. Recent research suggests inflammation as a primary cause of dysfunction in CFS, leading to a hyperactive Sympathetic Nervous System and various physical restrictions. Counterstrain, a cutting-edge technique, offers promising results for individuals suffering from CFS by addressing these underlying issues.
Assessment
A man recovering from Covid-19 sought my help due to his struggle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). His symptoms included persistent fatigue and a general sense of malaise that severely impacted his daily life. Upon evaluation, I determined that his Sympathetic Nervous System was hyperactive and restricted. Additionally, there were restrictions in his vasculature—specifically the veins and arteries in his head and neck—as well as in his lungs.
Treatment
Using Counterstrain therapy, I focused on releasing these restrictions. Counterstrain is a gentle, hands-on technique that alleviates tension and restores normal function by positioning the body in ways that release muscle and connective tissue tension.
Results
Remarkably, after just one session, the patient experienced an 85% improvement in his symptoms. The release of the restrictions in his nervous system and vasculature led to a significant reduction in fatigue and an overall improvement in his well being.
This case highlights the potential of Counterstrain therapy in treating Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. By addressing the root causes of dysfunction—such as inflammation and nervous system hyperactivity—Counterstrain can offer substantial relief and recovery for those suffering from CFS. I am proud to have played a part in this patient’s recovery journey and remain committed to helping others with similar conditions.
How Counterstrain Helps with CFS:
Counterstrain therapy targets the underlying causes of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, including:
- Nervous System Regulation: By releasing restrictions in the Sympathetic Nervous System, Counterstrain helps to reduce hyperactivity and restore balance.
- Vascular Health: Alleviating tension in veins and arteries improves blood flow and reduces inflammation, aiding in overall recovery.
- Respiratory Function: Addressing restrictions in the lungs enhances respiratory efficiency and reduces fatigue.
If you or someone you know is struggling with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, consider exploring Counterstrain therapy as a holistic, research-backed approach to recovery.
