Hello, my name is Otto Thompson from Abilene Texas and after injuring my right shoulder in February 2019 from dumbbell bench pressing, I sought treatment from Gary Collins, who is a licensed physical therapist as well as a certified massage therapist. I did not know what to expect after the first 1 to 2 sessions because everything seemed very subtle with very little movement or manipulation. Soon after receiving 3 to 4 more treatments, my shoulder improved tremendously. By the time I reached my 5th to 6th treatment, I was sold on Gary’s specialized pain-relieving techniques. Of course, I had to do my part. I limited my activity with my right shoulder and focused on slowly re-introducing my body into weight training. As of today, I am back at about 95% of shoulder strength with 100% on days that I give myself adequate rest from weight training. That is outstanding for a person who could not lift his arm over his head without pain for 2 to 3 months. I can dumb-bell press 75lbs per hand up to 15 reps at once without pain. I am 47 years old and my weight is 160lbs. Gary is my go-to-therapist for shoulder and back relief and I highly recommend him for all joint/muscle pain relieving needs. Think of Gary and give him a try before you think of joint injections or surgeries. Definitely!!!!

Professionalism, caring, gentleness, and old-school etiquette are part of the experience at the "Hands on Healing" office. Fascial Counterstrain solved my problem! I spent 2020 (not only dealing with the pandemic as everyone did)with a constant pain in my back and hip. I could not walk correctly and had trouble rising from a sitting position. I attended Rehab and received regular massages with improvement, but I was not getting total relief. The difference is Gary Collins and Fascial Counterstrain. My body responded to Fascial Counterstrain immediately. I am free of the pain, and my posture is better than it has been in years! There are unexpected additional benefits: I underwent open-heart surgery in 2015. I've been suffering from arthritis pain and most importantly back, neck, and shoulders pain due to spine problems for uncountable years now. All the surgeries I went through helped to some degree, but still the chronic pain persisted. I had lots of faith that Gary Collins could help me figure out a way for me to be well for good. After the first therapy, I slept through the night nonstop (very unusual), no pain anywhere. That was a dream come true, that only who suffers from pain can understand. My surgeons used to tell me: "You went through Hell and came back". But I assure you that right now I am in Heaven. My migraine has been also tormenting me for many years and now it's improved. From there on, I continue having improvement of about 80%, I have more flexibility, more energy, and I don't have the feeling of living in a straight jacket, constricted at all times anymore. So many years of therapeutical massages only did the superficial job, but evidently without going to the core of the problem.
